We have two flocks of sheep which have been crossed with North of England Mules: Suffolks and Dorsets (above photos show original breeds).
Suffolks are a large breed with a distinctive all-black head and legs that are free of wool. Suffolk lambs grow faster than any other breed and yield heavy carcasses of the type demanded by today’s health conscious consumers.
Dorsets are best known for their ability to produce a lamb crop any time during the year. The ewes produce lambs with moderate growth and maturity that yield heavy muscled carcasses.
